You bring the passion, we provide the coffee, and together we will live Life On Mission.

Our mission is to create great coffee and fuel your day. We want to be with you through the journey.

Let’s get started!

LOM Coffee

Our selection of coffee is made for people who enjoy that wonderful coffee smell and taste. Our goal is to find the coffee that you love and provide you a consistent experience. For those with a fun and adventurous side we offer flavored coffees too!

Life On Mission Coffee roasts coffee in small batches using a fluid bed roaster. This is a fancy way of saying we use air roasting instead of drum roasting. We believe fluid bed roasting gives a different experience in the final cup. Most coffee you buy is drum roasted. Our coffee is handcrafted with a goal of creating the best roast from each bean. Coffee beans are meticulously handpicked, sorted and processed. This means every bean you receive has been carefully handled and treated throughout its journey. We try and respect this perspective as we approach roasting and drinking our coffee. We love all coffee, however fluid bed roasting is our favorite - why we chose this style of roasting for our business!

Starts with the Bean.

Just like apples that vary in taste and cost, so do coffee beans. Some folks love green apples while others wait all year for Honeycrisp. As we expand our offerings, we want to find out which coffee you prefer and work to get it to you. Coffee varietals include names like Bourbon, Typica, Geisha, Pacamara, and many, many, more! Coffee is picked and processed where it is grown. Once the seed is dried and processed it moves the roasting stage.

Then the Roast

The Roast process. Do you like light, medium, or dark coffee? Most people start here.

Light roasts tend to keep the delicate flavors intact. This roast level is often for those who really want to experience different coffee flavors and like a lighter, brighter (more acidic) coffee. Some consider it almost tea like.

Medium Roasts are more developed and tend to have more complexity. Often medium roasts keep the taste of the bean. This seems to be a favorite roast level for coffee lovers. Nice balance between the bean’s individuality and the roast.

Dark roasts tend to be what most people think of when they try coffee for the first time. Often it is smokey, and dark. It has more oil and won’t last as long as medium or light roasts. When done right you experience a beautifully balanced roast without the bitterness you’d expect. Dark roasts are intense enough to support milk based products.

Extra dark has a very strong roast flavor and is the domain of folks that may like burnt, smokey flavor. The bean loses much of its personality and original flavor. At this level of roast, all beans tend to taste the same. This roast level is very oily.

Then Brew

LOM Coffee has you in mind when roasting our coffee. You shouldn’t need a PhD and a chemistry lab to get great coffee! We test all of our roasts using equipment you have at home. It would be nice to have a $30k espresso machine, but that isn’t real for most folks. We understand that most of our customers will use a drip coffee maker and want to get on with their day. We test our coffees based on the tools you would most likely have in your house. This includes the grinder. We do not recomend a blade grinder. We can grind your coffee if you need us to. We just want you to enjoy your coffee and get the most out of what you have. If you you want to get the most out of your coffee, then think about your grind. It really makes a huge difference! That said, if you want to take your time and do a pour over on a Chemex then we have you covered there as well. We even have you covered if you prefer to make your coffee from single use pods! Our pods have more coffee then commercial brands to give you a better coffee experience.
